There are 8 gates which currently connect to FIS. Technically all of these gates are "city gates", which means the city runs them even though there may be dedicated occupants on the departure. As BA and LH do not use their gates all of the time other airlines can use those during the day which includes some arrivals. I don't know how many flights off hand UA has to Mexico now from Denver, but when it was Ted to those places they would come into some of those gates. Same holds true with F9 and all of their Mexico flights.

For your arrival from LHR you will come into one of those A gates, head upstairs and over to FIS. The plane will then be cleared and taxied over to B or the hangar if some mx checks are needed. You will then released into the grand hall on level 5 and then clear again and head back to B if you have a connection.
