Yes indeed! Totally agree with you on trying to get a different routing. Have been checking online and or calling twice daily for 2 months for this very reason. Zero availability on UA metal on anything for BKK back through NRT or HKG. I can get BKK-LAX-SFO but that is on TG rather than UA's new biz class, plus I hear horror stories about international arrival at TBIT in LAX. Multiple variables. Thanks!

PS: What is amazing is that I have called the UA 1K desk a few times and they swear to me my bags will transit through PVG on their own. Sad to say (for UA) that I trust FT experiences 10 times more than the UA 1k desk answer in this particular scenario.
