Actually, this was the settlement of the suit - they contacted all "class members" with the settlement offer of 5K miles for each ticket you redeemed at that code if you were a member before the rules changed (whence AA got better lawyers to put in the "we can change things whenever we want" clause)

And okay, in my case it would only be 10K miles, but... if I didn't have missing mile anxiety disorder, I wouldn't hang out on this board...
