Are you seriously suggesting that AC spend the time and money to constantly update a crib sheet that translates carriers own internal designation(s) to *A statuses? Why not simply have a rule that requires a card with a *A Gold label on it?!....Oh wait....they DO!
Actually, all STAR lounges have a binder that contains photographs of all eligible cards, which includes appropriate status variations. But key point is you must have a current valid STARGold card with you...why didn't OP have his?
