Hi all,
Hoping you can help with this, and help quickly!
Long story short, last year my then girlfriend and I booked flights to Toronto. We then split up and moved the flights a couple of times (Split them into seperate ref #s)
We're now looking to book the flights before the 12 month deadline, and have been told that as we've changed the flights the value of the original booking is now only the value of the flights we have booked currently.
So the original £900 WT+ booking, thats' currently a £600 WT+ booking has lost the £300 difference and the £900 flight I'm looking at will cost £300 + change fee.
When we first looked at moving the flights, we asked what would happen if we changed the value of the flights, and the 'stored' flights were lower, would there be a problem moving the flights to an equivalent value when we confirm we can use them.
Not a problem we were told, even though the flights may be worth less than the booking, the 'value' of that booking would be held.
I've now tried to change the flights, and been told that it doesn't work like that. My booking is only worth the flights currently booked. Needless to say, this is causing us a lot of problems.
Any ideas, or contacts within BA, that can point me in the right direction?
The CSR I'm talking to currently just says that's it, nothing can be done.
Argh!
