Its a A320 departing at 6:30AM.

What should I expect in Club Europe?

How is the food and beverage service?
If by upgrading this flight, you need to forego something else, I wouldn't bother upgrading. Upgrading a flight at non-breakfast time would be a better value in my opinion. My rationale is based on the lack of difference in catering between ET and CE at breakfast time in Band 4 flights, which SOF-LHR is (it's a lot more different at any other time).

On the other hand, if you can upgrade this flight and still have enough funds/miles to do whatever else you want to do, and feel you want to try it even if it's for the sake of it and you aren't expecting a lot of difference from ET, then I would.

I think it was quite a bit more than that on the port side last time I sat there (not so long ago, although now I prefer the starboard side). I believe it has not changed since. Probably more like 6".
