If UA were to provide a comparable lounge the airline would go broke. UA could not afford to feed thousands of visitors a day. It could not maintain in decent shape the showers -- hey, the loos in the RCCs stink to high heaven and look like pig styes 20-minutes after the janitorial staff clean them.
What makes SQ's lounge what it is is its exclusivity and the fact that the vast majority of travellers never get to use it. I'm surprised they even let UA domestic fliers into it...but guess they must call it a STARGold lounge.
FAIL. Try having the slightest bit of knowledge or background before you post. ALL, yup ALL as in exclusive of none, foreign carriers manage to do this
WITHOUT CHARGING THEIR CUSTOMERS A FEE TO ENTER!, ALSO AA has showers, NW/DL have free booze and better food plus showers and yet they are not any more broke than UA. UAs RCC suck not because making them not suck would make UA insolvent but because they think they can leave them in the sorry state they are in and enough people will still [foolishly] give them money.
