If you should find yourself a little short of AA miles for the CNS and CUZ trips (for three people, I think you will need a total of between 345,000 and 375,000 AAdvantage miles depending on when you are going to South America), you can pick up some miles pretty easily if you can park some cash in a BankDirect mileage checking account.
