Some suggestions:
- Ontario Science Centre
- Distillery District (never been, but hear good things about it... try going on the weekend)
- St. Lawrence Market, especially on weekends (Front St & Jarvis)
- King St East, if you like design and furniture stores
- Bloor St West, between Yonge and University (where the ROM is) - for upscale designer stores and Holt Renfrew
- For theatre, also look into the Shaw Festival (shawfest.com). It's in Niagara-on-the-Lake, which is a nice town by Niagara Falls
- Toronto Islands are fun if the weather is nice, and you'll get great photos of the Toronto skyline... and if you really want to push the BF, there's a nude beach at Hanlan's Point
- For the Zoo, go by car. Public transit from downtown is long, complicated, and you won't want to transit back after walking around the (huge) Zoo all day
- Toronto has great restaurants - variety, prices etc.. Most online guides (Frommers, Lonely Planet) should have a good selection of places
- There's not much in the Village since a few of the places have closed down recently, but it's still worth a stroll through
