does anyone know what compo we should get?! Wasn't worried with a seven hour delay but we're not due off till 3 tomorrow so will lose a full day of our hol. Are we entitled to EU compo (24 hour delay but we're on a miles ticket) or should we go via insurance?

hope people still enjoy the pic, it is funny.

You are entitled to compensation under articles 5 & 7 of the Regulation. See here for full text: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/...4R0261:EN:HTML.

Airlines cannot normally declare that a technical fault lets them off the hook viz the Wallentin Hermann judgement in the ECJ in December 2008: http://curia.europa.eu/jurisp/cgi-bi...ts=&resmax=100

It matters not that you are on a miles ticket as compensation applies regardless of whether it was a miles purchased ticket or cash.

600 euros compensation is the tariff for you.

Happy flying!
