Short Haul and Domestic Catering Contract Change.

Hi All...

Well, over the last 2 days,we have seen the change of the catering contract begin for EuroFleet operations at LHR.

The contract change over period will last into the start of May, however, Domestic services have now been changed from Gate Gourmet to DHL/Northern Foods.

I operated a domestic sector over the last 2 days, and thought I would provide some details about the changes that have taken place.

Contents of the bars are still the same, with all the same drinks available, including trolly top juices, water, tea and coffee etc...

The "Birdseed" or Skybites have gone, and have been replaced with a different product, some what more substantial, a mixture of different type of pretzel shapes and small savory biscuits. Produced and part braned by:

Dormen Foods

:and also BA branded too, which, although does not add to the taste, adds to the product presentation and appearance overall.

For the moment, the sweet biscuits are the same, but they will change to Fox's biscuits. I could have seen them in more detail if I had gone into work on my days off, but was away.

I have no information as yet as to the new domestic breakfast product, however I understand it will be a similar offering, but improved in quality/delivery.

Over the next few weeks, different bands of flights will be changed over from Gate Gourmet to DHL/Northern Foods, and I will update as I come across the new product offerings.

Regards,
