To be honest there was no reason to ask about the deposit policy as I thought that your points are the deposit (also my card details are linked to my PC account), the funny thing is I booked one room through my points and my wife booked one room with her points and she has not been charged. I'm confident common sense will prevail and they will refund me the £179, what I wanted to know is what authority they had taking it as I have gone right through the reservation and nowhere does it mention taking the full amount via my card.
