It wasn't your fault but that is never what BTTs were intended for. And as missy said, it was a disservice to issue them to you. At this point, I would probably call Customer Care, explain what happened, and see what sort of alternatives they can come up with. The reality is that BTTs have been retired for several months and so that is why you are having so much trouble using yours.
