An interesting twist...

I have had MCI for a while on my voice line so I've stopped earning bonus miles, only the 5 miles per $1 spent. The other day, I got a call from MCI saying they would like to get me back as a valued customer blah blah blah and were willing to give me $100 credit on my bill or 5000 miles over the next 5 months. I opted for the miles. Funny thing is, I never switched away from MCI. It seems that their computer flagged me down as a switcher bacause I switched my OTHER line (a fax line) to AT&T. Go figure!

MCI has to be the most f*cked up big company in existence. What you said is typical. Have you ever asked to speak with a supervisor? You will NEVER be allowed to talk to one. I once asked to speak to a supervisor on a Saturday and was told they all went home for the weekend!!! If I call during the week, they make up other erroneous excuses. I came to the conclusion that MCI is not worth putting up with no matter how many miles they entice you with. But I did sign up for the calling card offer since it won't have any bearing on my residential service.
