After reading about these in the FlyerTalk email the other day, I figured it was an easy way to make some miles on the AAdvantage MC. Order $1000, pay no fees, deposit into my account, earn some interest, and pay the bill when it arrives. However, I was on the last page of the online order and the only option it gave me was "Pick up at local Chase branch". I tried to refresh but went back to the first page. I called the Chase CS, rep said he can't see transactions until 2 hours later but said that Pickup was not even an option for me (no local branches), and that I should go back and re-order. I didn't want to re-order until I make sure the system didn't already charge me! He also said they ship Fedex or Airborne and that someone needs to be home to sign for them.
