Maybe certain letters are "Tango", and others are "Tango Plus", but I would like some direct confirmation.
Generally speaking Tango are the cheap ones that earn nothing and Tango Plus does earn. That being said, you'd probably need to get the fare rules to know for certain. In the booking process on AirCanada.com, after you choose the flights and get to the "Review Flight Details" page if you scroll down there is a link that reads "Read complete fare rules applicable to this fare." If you click that link you'll get something that looks like this:
Code:
Penalties:
From: Montreal, QC (YUL - Trudeau)
To: Vancouver, BC (YVR - Vancouver Int'l)
Fare Basis Code: G0NQTGC

FCL: G0NQTGC TRF: 781 RULE: 6030 BK: G PUBL:AC 1CAYQB101
PTC: ADT-ADULT FTC: SIP-ONEWAY INSTANT PURCHASE
PE.PENALTIES
FOR G0NQTGC TYPE FARES
With a whole bunch more below that. The part you care about is the BK: G which indicates it is a G fare. For the sample I just pulled up Tango was G and T+ was S.
