Most of these posts are confusing US/Canada with Germany. DC is issued by entirely different franchisees in different countries. Many of them are Citibank (former owner of the brand, now a franchisee). Discover now owns the brand. You need to check your benfits and costs in Germany, if you will take the card there) or the UK (if you do it there). there are places where the acceptance is great (NA with the MC network), Italy and a few others.
