HGI Peter St over Hilton DT

I wanted to stay the Hilton Toronto but they don't have in room Jacuzzi, if they did they would be my first choice.

I stay at both and like them for different reasons.

HGI has nice new rooms with great bathrooms and realy comfortable beds. It is in a good location for the restaurant row on King St (goes for quite a few blocks in either direction) and the theaters. Also a late night (midnight) drug store on the corner and the heart of Queen St West is only 2 blocks north. HGI Restaurant is also good for breakfast and dinner; b-fast is included if you are HHonors Gold/Platinum. Short walk to the Rogers Centre (Blue Jays) and you can get a street car on King Street, too. This is a good leisure location.

Hilton Toronto is more business-oriented (I am only there on weekdays) and I get a great corporate rate there so I am there most of the time. Rooms are hit and miss; some are redone and some are a little dated. The restaurants and room service are crazy expensive and the bar (Barristers) is average. If you are HH gold or diamond you can have breakfast in the 32nd floor lounge which is nice. This is in a good business location with access to Bay Street. From here you are a block from Queen (the start of it) and two blocks from "The Bay" and a few more from Eaton Centre and Dundas/Yonge. The surrounding restaurants are average, I usually get take out from a sushi or indian place on queen street.

Overall, I am more a fan of the Garden Inn. Essentially, it matters to what you want to do and if you want to walk a little farther based on what you are doing. The hotels are about a 5 minute walk from each other. If you are a runner, both are equivalent since they offer the same type of roads and running is way easy in that area.
