In San Miguel de Allende ( the forum I monitor) it has been rampant in the last few weeks..... everyday I log on there are two or three more cases reported. And it seems to be numerous machines in town...not just one location. Some of the thefts are from card holders who hadn't used their card in over month...now suddenly having withdrawals ( usually in the $800US) from Columbia.
