there was a thread here a few months back, search and it should come up.
I use a site for DIY ifixit.com. That gets you the parts and you DIY.
In the thread about this earlier, there was send away companies that charge about 50$ total for shipping and repair and then screen. Apple will I think charge 200$, but there ARE reports of if you go in, they MIGHT give you a new/refurb one, so it is worth a check.
Also, most can get the refurb from AT&T for 49-99$, but with contract extension.
