No, it is left side on departure from 7R. The view you get is from the beginning Tseun Wan with Sing Mun Reservoir, Tai Lam Reservoir, then Kowoloon with old Kai Tak, after that will be Sai Kung.

I will see if I can dig out some old pictures where I was sitting on the left side of the CX 744 HKG-TPE. My pictures will be similiar to what you can see in AC340-541's trip report, as he was sitting in the A seat.
