I am absolutely shocked and extrremely disappointed having just been told I cannot use airmiles to upgrade a WT+ booking I made using my shareholder discount. It was the first time I ever used the shareholder website and I was not aware my booking would be treated differently to any other one.
I am honestly so upset by this I plan to dump my BA shares and my loyalty to BA is also taking a strain.
At the very least I feel I should have been warned when I made the booking (I would never have accepted these terms as I always planned to upgrade if/when reward availability came through).
Does anyone else feel this is poor treatment of shareholders?
