I doubt it. I tried them in south america before (a long time ago) and no one would take them. Even the banks wanted a percentage (3% I think) to convert them to local currency. I never even thought of using travelers checks again after that. I really think that using debit card with a Visa logo to withdraw foreign currency is the best way to go. Hope Im not taking any risks Im not aware of.
