B-777ER Engines fixed yet?

Hello W0X0F_2p2,

Adding my thanks for a great thread here and on the other board. I hope you don't get tired of it any time soon.

I know this question is not related to your aircraft type, but I thought you might know about it. Has Delta installed any modifications to the 777ER engines to fix the problem with ice clogging the fuel/oil heat exchanger? I understand there was a procedural change (loss of thrust checklist?) installed as an interim measure until the root cause could be corrected. But this doesn't make me much more confident about flying them, since thrust can be lost at a very low altitude, as with the BA incident.

I flew on BA from London to Beijing on a 777ER 4 days after their accident (which was Beijing to London), and remember looking at the hulk from the airplane window, wondering what had caused it (they didn't know for a while). I was a little nervous then (and I am not a nervous flyer), but don't feel any better now that the cause is known, since I have heard nothing about the fix.
