Yes, apparently they changed the way they handle payment. It happened to me for my last trip, it takes up to 2 hours to get confirmation and receive the email while before it was like 2 minutes.

The website is also clumsy for payment, if the payment fails for whatever reason (like for example paying via iDEAL, it fails and you go back to the site) then the trip is actually booked but pending reception of the payment and will be automatically invalidated much later.

If that happens you can call the service support and ask to cancel the booking (there is a locking period of several hours for which they cannot alter the booking but they can cancel it), then you can rebook a ticket, the engine will warn you that you have another ticket for the same period but ignore that.
