What is strange to me is that some airlines will apparently continue to drag their feet about compensation even in the most 'obvious' cases rather than spontaneously respect their legal obligations. In that, they create a frankenstein by feeding the very euclaims and co that they claim to hate and then sue. If airlines sent compensation right away when obvious problems occur, they would kill these potentially powerful enemies which feed on 'easy' shares of profits.
