P.s. you can also get your HH status extended if you make 28 stays in 2012 before 3/31/2012... so you can perhaps use a yet a third card in 2011.

What do you mean by "using it in 2010", the card or Diamond VIP status? If you mean VIP status, I have/will continue to enjoy the perks in 2010. If you mean the Surpass card, I will use it (and have already done so), but, other than earning HHonors points, I see no advantage to using it in 2010 since it won't be until 2011 that I will need to charge $40,000 in order to maintain Diamond status past April 2012. For that matter, my 2010 stays won't count toward Diamond status either since Hhonors no longer has a rollover policy. Does that clear things up?
