which would be when her 2nd 50k bonus would have been sent out.

I'll have her call to try to have it overturned. If they don't, I will systematically start closing all our chase credit and checking accounts.
I've had a really bad experience this week with Chase, both with checking and credit.
There is a reason to trigger it.
What charges your wife has put on the card? Do you mind to share the info?
Was her CC used to fund bank accounts?
If you are deemed a credit risk, Chase does not care you close all your accounts with them - better do this yourself before they do that for you, so there is no damage on your credit report.
If nothing like ordering coins, funding bank accounts, or similar charges in that nature, then may be there is an identity mixed up? (that could happen, and actually been reported in AMEX forum in the past.)
