I can comment on a seat assignment only.
I booked JFK-FRA leg (Y) on SQ.
I called their 800# and asked for a seat assignment.
Requested window seat and was told that window seat was confirmed, but couldn't give me the row# because row will be assigned at the time of check in at the airport.
