There is plenty of evidence of QF only allowing people access to QF 107 LAX-JFK who have ALREADY flown a QF flight - flying a QF flight later in the itinerary won't cut it with QF at LAX. Based on this, it looks like the QF code on AA metal which, accrding to the fare rule quoted, will be in Y.
