As an example, here's the AA policy:
"Use of still and video cameras, film or digital, is permitted only for recording personal events. Photography or video recording of airline personnel, equipment, or procedures is strictly prohibited."

I assume that the prohibition on flight crew may be for privacy reasons, but the rules against pix of equipment and procedures are clearly for security reasons (though absurd and ineffective).
