The only benefit so far was that today I dialed the "Premium Sales and Service" number on my PM card from last year (my DM package hasn't arrived yet) and (after a 5 minute wait) spoke to someone in Chisholm for the first time since November, when the telephone support disaster began. She answered, "VIP Line." I can tell that accent a mile away
She was helpful and polite. She answered a couple of reservation questions I had but didn't have any information about the 2010 PM Choice Benefit for Inaugural DM's. I actually didn't expect her to know either.
When I hung up the phone I thought to myself, hmmm, so this is just like the 2008 WP Platinum program minus the awesome PU465 SWU certs. I don't travel a lot domestically, so the improved chance of a domestic upgrade doesn't impact me that much.
