Yes and no. When printing schedules and such, noting things that start on day one and carry over into the wee hours of day two as 08:00 - 25:00 is pretty clear. There are a number of places that do it that way and it isn't really all that bad. It does facilitate printing "daily" schedules in a more condensed and tabular form because the times are always just 4 digits (5 characters if you include the colon) rather than having to deal with needing space for the +1 or the abbreviation for the other day of the week.
