However, it depends on where you are getting married. They can give you a form that they sign and you can change your passport details before the wedding.

Thanks for the congratuations.
We're both British but living in France. That's a very useful link, could be worthwhile getting a postdated passport as that would work perfectly.
Just need to check with BAEC if they don't mind issuing the MFU tickets in her new name.
