FlierLie ~ You would think PVD would be less expensive, and it is actually closer to my destination ... but, it's not! And I even live in a city serviced by WN.
I've been checking the fares for a few weeks, and basically it came down to BOS for $220 or so or PVD for $300 or so ... wasn't a hard choice in the end!
My theory: PVD has WN (cheap), but BOS has AirTran (even cheaper!). DL matches (within a couple of bucks) AirTran's fare between MSY and BOS!
