I've read many contracts of carriage. As the poster before me mentioned, EU regs apply and override anything conflicting in the COC. However, even if this were in the US, do you really think a small claims judge is going to tell a person who paid $1000 for a two hour flight that it was OK for the airline take his money to put him on a 12 hour bus ride that would have otherwise cost $70?
