You have to do a standard award search for the flight. If the flight shows NF as available, that means immediate upgrade to F is available. Likewise, NC is for upgrade to business on 3-class aircraft.

There have been reports, however, that some times this may not be entirely accurate as the space may have disappeared and the computer may not have caught up yet, so you might want to call in and just ask.
