The Hsinchu HSR station is actually one that makes a little bit of sense on that island compared with the other ones (The worst might be Tainan, an hr to get to downtown Tainan from the stn, what a joke), but I digress...
The one in Taichung is just as bad.. One time my parents dropped me off at the Taichung station. I gave them a call when I reached Taipei 45 minutes later and they said they havn't even gotten home yet..
