I was a little disappointed that AA did not make more of two rather major AAniversaries. Twenty years ago, AA started flying to London (with a 747) upon the demise of Brannif. Ten years ago in May/June, they took over all TWA's London Heathrow routes. Nothing was made of either and I for one thought that was a shame. They are a major presence at Heathrow with one of their aircraft on stand at any time night or day. As far as I know, AA still has the only daylight flight from Chicago to Heathrow. A competition or miles collection focused on these routes would not have broken the bank IMHO.</font>
Yes, it does seem a shame for AA not to have marked such milestones in their company's history. As for ORD-LHR service, AA90 is still the only morning departure (presently at 08:50) of any carrier and I hope it will be a permanent slot in the AA schedule from O'Hare to Heathrow. Sure wish there would have been a mileage offer for AA90/91, Paul...I would have been to see you about three times by now!
