Succeded in changing the routing
Called delta and was able to change the routing via ATL. Departure on 11:30 and arrival at 1:30 connecting to Chicago on 2:45. The only caveat is the hour and 15 minutes in ATL. Not long connection, but I believe we will be fine. Worst case there is always later flights to Chicago.
