I don't know what your home gateway Kernow, but many large corp North American TAs have a one way free upgrade TATL for the month of March to offer to their top BA clients. All US and Canada gateways, except LAX. All J and C fares (a few limited D fares too, but I can't remember all the T&Cs right now). The upgrade is processed by BA at the time of ticketing
