You obviously haven't been "conditioned" properly. When I first started doing the China thing, such situations made my blood boil, and I was surprised that the locals and/or veterans didn't so much as bat an eyelash. Several years later, that same complacency miraculously took hold of me. (By then, I had learned to tolerate warm beer.)
