no offense either, I'm just puzzled by your statement.

Being as it is encrypted and backed up, then you and your company really shouldn't be in a "world of hurt". Perhaps a significant inconvenience and financial cost for replacing the equipment, but you should not be at risk of data theft or loss.

Or maybe that's what you meant by "but If I lose it, my company is still in for a world of hurt."
