Got the "upgrade" letter to the Sapphire card as well. I called the number to opt out as I'd prefer to keep my Freedom card and it's $200 for $250 rewards. The guy I spoke to confirmed that all terms and conditions of my current Freedom card would not change if I opt out of the Sapphire card but eventually the Freedom card will be completely phased out and I will at some point be forced to accept a different card. Who knows when that will be but I'll keep the Freedom card going until that happens.
