I was very surprised to get Y class seafood special meals on my flight from FCO to IAD and they were not bad.

My whole trip is FCO-IAD-DTW-FRA-MAN ticketed by UA but DTW-FRA-MAN are operated by LH. I used LH website's 'my trip' management for seafood-fish meal request. It only showed DTW-FRA segment confirmed but seems to apply to my UA flights too.

However, for the lunch, i got a big boiled white fish steak with tomato sauce served with almond fried brown rice for main course, and a cup of fresh fruit instead of normal meal's cake. The salad was the same as the normal meal. for the snack before arrival, I got a sandwich with grilled vegetables (no seafood but very delicious!) and also a cup of fresh fruit instead of potato chips.

In the summary, this UA surprising seafood special food was very healthy-oriented and beyond the expectation.
