thats what I thought and AFAIK Im not aware of a state that charges for services like this...perhaps NY or MA or CT types? I dont know but its usually that goods are taxed and not a service. Of course at federal level its a whole new game with no rules and they tax any thing they desire without cause albeit it not a sales tax. You also may see local taxes(like cable, phone, and cell phone, and water, and garbage, etc) on certain services but not typically at state level except I know my electric bill contains some kind of bearaucratic state tax but still it aint a sales tax
I think most air travel is exempt because of interstate commerce and all that.
It's
possible some purely intra-state operations are taxed, but I don't know that I've ever seen any form of mass transportation carry any sort of (non-specific-to-that-form-of-transportation) sales tax.
