I am totally befuddled with this policy. I thought "security" meant preventing the loss of life, and not just preventing the destruction of property. But perhaps I have gotten it wrong again.

I always thought time was of the essence in the case of a heart attack. And further, it has been my experience that at least 50% of the time I have been told that a supervisor is not available. So between the normal survival rate and the often absence of authority, it is not a very encouraging picture.

And remember look what happended to the Seinfeld gang when they didn't render assistance. At a minimum, it ended the show!
