KosraeTV - Try turning off your firewall for a few moments to see if that makes any difference.

Did you try running the network troubleshooter?

Other things to try:
1) Removing/re-adding the network connection (in the network control panel; I don't have vista so I don't recall the exact steps)
2) Powering off the machine completely and leaving it off for a few minutes, then powering on again
3) Powering the router off/on.
4) Powering the cable/DSL modem off/on.
Yup Yup Yup Yup and Yup... long ago before posting... thanks but it is something way beyond these steps that is hidden like a little SOB

I went through 99% of the suggestions already and I was even suspecting it is with a possible Trend Micro issue (some little flip or switch with that AV software blocking things) and have uninstalled that but no luck with that either also.

Have identical machines also, so I've gone setting by setting and they are identical settings that I see.

So I've got a call back into Trend Micro and am doing everything all over step by step. I even took out the Lan board (whatever you call it) and swapped those and same item so even though I had network activity I can rule out hardware...

The joy of living in the islands is the do it yourself spirit you gotta have.... But it also wants to make me shoot myself at times
