Is the company now moving away from it's regional flare? They dumped Jones Cola even though they had supplied the company for several years. It this a sign that Alaska is moving away from it's love for Seattle? Are they going to up and bail and head to Chicago like Boeing did?

Alaska has been able to get great business in Seattle because of, among other things, their appeal to the local vibe in places like Portland, Seattle and Alaska. It was a little different and sort of our own.

Now it seems that the company is moving away from this. No more Jones Cola. Many of the local craft type goods from the snack packs are gone. I'm wondering if they'll take the salmon off of the side of the sockeye off of the side of the plane for a much more well known and cost effective farmed sockeye. Will we get Chilean wines next? Seattle's Best replaced with Juan Valdez? The big bottle of local microbrew on Horizon replaced with Bud? It's a slippery slope.

I wonder if the Alaska executives even care about how their decision is costing Seattle jobs during a recession? Somehow, I doubt it.
I guess if you interrupt the love fest here to give any criticism, your post just gets merged in to some other generic post. I guess have to redo the whole thread and take out the reference to Jones cola.
