CX888/889 switched to 77W for a good reason - it facilitated the 77W aircraft rotation over at JFK. Whatever aircraft operates into JFK via YVR will go back to HKG as a direct flight, and vice versa. That's the main reason when extra capacity is needed to Vancouver, CX can only put the 744 on the day time flight now without messing with the 77W rotation in JFK.

When did CX start putting its own transit passengers on SQ's flights?
After 872 was re-timed as red-eye, I have switched my flyings to 882, departing HKG at around 4:30pm. SEA is my final destination so it is ok for me to fly into either SFO or LAX, although I highly prefer SFO over LAX. CX is CX, so no matter it is 744 or 77W, SFO or LAX, I still prefer it over others.

If nothing works out, I can always fly someone else, like SQ, but not without other problems.
Sounds like the annual staff meeting the interview will be played may be company-wide. So perhaps it is something more like down to the customer service level for most of the employees? Or is the staff meeting more for top level and about strategic planning?
